I asked your question today after our lunch, and the answer is no.
This cafe is a great place to grab a bite in Harrison. The menu and the food is great and tasty and the portion are generous. We particularly enjoy the patio offering a nice view of the lake and a chill atmosphere. Will go back again!
Great sandwiches and espresso drinks. Pulled pork and curry lentil soup was delicious
Pretty good little cafe by the beach. Café style pay at the counter , self served. Food was freshly made. There are few of these kind of café around beach. Muddy Water may have the best location. They definitely charges a bit more than other restaurants. Seeing mostly tourists eating here. Just down the street, couple other café serve similar cuisine which charges lot less. But I guess you pay for your view of the beach. We like the food nonetheless.
Thanks Richard for keeping the best place in Harrison dog friendly!!!🐕👍
Came late and kitchen was closed so got only coffee and soda. Decent coffee i should say! And girls are so patient with kids and doing their best to accommodate every single request.
This was an amazing experience. The food was full of flavor. It was prepared with care and attention. The soup was the best wonton I've ever had.
I love popping in here year round for a coffee on the go. It's always a treat to sit and enjoy their Café menu. It never disappoints. Fresh, local ingredients that entice the tatsebuds. Mix and match your side - instead of chips, the fresh salad and dressing are delightful. Or perhaps you could use a bowl of soup. Whatever you're looking for you're sure to be satisfied. Lots of veggie options, and lighter sides for any time of day.
Very friendly establishment. Lots of food choices reflecting local produce. Good place to pick up coffee. I had a blueberry muffin here and there was probably more blueberries than the muffin itself! Amazing.
Had 3 different burgers and they were all great!!
Food was alright, but it came with free stickers so that's cool.
Bright, spacious environment that felt comfortable and welcoming. Both the husband and I just had regular coffee, but he ordered a breakfast wrap and I ordered a breakfast bun. They were both served with a fruit melange and the meals were really tasty. It was pretty busy when we were there (on a Sunday morning, just before 11:00am) so the toilet was a frequent stop for people and we were sitting near the washroom. Not a big deal for us, but it did strike me as interesting that there was just the one.Everything was amazing.
Friendly staff and best spot for a evening coffee. Just beside them this bike parkade makes it even better.
This is the perfect place to wake you up with a healthy breakfast. During two nights stay in Harrison resort, we came here in the morning and revisited the next day. The first day we ordered yogurt parfait, noodle for kid and Another breakfast menu (Portuguese bun with ham and eggs). Next day, we’ve got salmon with English muffins, egg scramble with toast. Even their homemade jam was so good. Most of all. I liked the fresh fruits for side dishes. I will definitely come here again.
Tasty, fresh..great for all ages for lunch! Nice atmosphere and view! Will return:)
A nice spot that maintains social distancing. Reasonable menu. Good veg options.
I love this small eatery. Price is above normal but you have a great experience. Love the fresh ingredients and cook while it is order. Not the precook Big Franchisee fast food. Presentation is very appealing. The employees are very friendly.
Best Coffee I have ever had. The shop staff are most friendly and accommodating to the needs of all customers and get you sipping that deliciousness in a great time. Want an amazing Espresso? It's here waiting for your lips!
K, you know when you go for breakfast and "side of fresh fruit" just sounds so appealing but then you realize that yet again you have wasted $6 on a few slimy cantaloupe, honeydew and pineapple chunks? Not so here!!! The fruit was fresh, delicious and VARIED and just really hit the spot! Also the lox with soft scrambled eggs was amazing (and they didn't skimp on the capers!), the coffee was great, and sadly we didn't try the muffins but they sure LOOKED amazing. Service was prompt and pleasant too, and it's in such a pretty spot! I would most definitely come here for breakfast again.
One of the best black-bean burger I had.they also have very good selection of local beers which you cannot find in bc liquor
This place is truly a gem! Tucked right off the beach this place does not disappoint with food or views! They are a licensed coffee/bistro that serves up local draft and makes amazing burgers! Fast friendly service made this a highlight of our trip! Will absolutely be back again, as we (3 of us) ordered different things and shared and it was all superb!
Cafe that wants to be a restaurant? Huge menu but no cakes or treats on display to choose from... no display. Says "home baking" but when we visited there was no cakes to choose from... nothing at 11:30 AM. The chairs outside are also the cheapest plastic. It's a strange ordering system. Food appears to get brought to the table, but coffee must be ordered at the till, and drinks picked up from the till.Update: Sorry for your family loss. I've given you an extra three stars.
Great little cafe, stopped in for ice cream and coffee while checking out Harrison. Would definitely recommend stopping in, food looked really good too
Nice cafe, I've loved their ice capiccino, it was much better than Starbucks frapuchino but I wish it was a bit cheaper. Very convenient location, great view and good seating options.
The food here surpassed my greatest expectations. I could eat every meal here! I've had the sockeye and crab claw burger (flavourful and tender, perfectly seasoned) and for breakfast the English muffin with scrambled eggs and lox. What a beautifully balanced, delicious meal. The eggs were fluffy and paired wonderfully with the lox and onions and capers. My Americano was full-bodied with the right bit of coffee bitterness. The staff is friendly and the baked goods will ruin you, and everything served is farm-to-table/locally sourced. If you come to Harrison for any amount of time make this a stop before you leave. Your taste buds will thank you!
Delicious breakfast and coffee. Fast service. I recomend the breakfast bun. The scrambled eggs in it are soft and delicious, and it is served with a side of fruit which is refreshing.
We love this place for lunch!! I first discovered it with some girlfriends last year, and made a point to get lunch to go when we were in Harrison with the family last weekend. The sandwiches were all delish, and the side salad blew me away with all the fresh veggies like yellow and orange tomatoes and green beans. But my absolute fave is the balsamic dressing - I want the recipe!
Coffee was bitter. Staff was decent but I feel like harder work needs to be done. I usually love going into coffee shops like this but will give them one more chance for their coffee.
Great place for morning coffee, sandwiches, muffins, nachos, with a fantastic view both during the day time and at night
Great food, but a bit pricey for a bistro. Friendly staff.
We enjoyed a breafast feast here. This cafe serves up great coffee and Farm to table delicious food. Definitely will be back to try the dinner menu. Oh and the Pastries looked amazing! The staff were very friendly. Pictured here is the Breakfast Sandwich, yogurt bowl and the Breakfast Wrap with fresh fruit served on the side. Yum!
Food was very good! The only thing was the food runners were mixing up orders and bringing the wrong food to the wrong tables. This is an easy fix so hopefully they make adjustments!
Nice spot for patio dining...everything looked made fresh to order. Their breakfast, lunch and coffee menus are spread out, so it was hard to figure out what all the options are. Sandwiches come with either a side of kettle chips, soup, or delish-looking salad. My only issue...it was a bit on the pricey side for a small soup and sandwich. Otherwise, it was a good tasting meal on a nice covered patio.
I’ve been here a few times. The food is excellent, the lattes are fairly good. Service by staff is okay. Their breakfast time could go a little longer, considering that most check out times from hotels etc. is 11am. We arrived there 10 minutes after their breakfast time was over and they wouldn’t make an exception, I consider that a bad service by staff!
We were new in town for the weekend and this place was highly recommended. Muddy Waters, didn't disappoint. Great lunch food and we were told this is where the locals eat. Friendly family business, fair prices, and what I believe the best burger in Harrison on Esplanade Ave for sure. Self order style and they bring the orders to your table, busy place and we'll definitely be back next time we come to Harrison. Thanks......
Always enjoyable to have a soup and sandwich and gaze out at Harrison Lake.
We had a delicious lunch here the other day. We ordered a BLT with tortilla soup and and Pulled Pork Bun with salad. They use local ingredients which is great to see. Friendly service, nice atmosphere, and prices that are on par with other local options. Would return.
This was the best restaurant in Harrison Hot Springs. And I tried most of them. The food is amazing and it is beautifully prepared. The service is excellent too.
Great burgers and good coffee, staff very helpful
Stopped in for breakfast. Great coffee, awesome service and atmosphere, and wonderful food. I would HIGHLY recommend the smoked salmon English muffin.
My wife and I were at the Harrison lake for some r&r.It was lunch time so we walked along the street with the restaurants and decided to try muddy waters cafe.My wife had the tomato, mozzarella ,basil on sourdough cranberry bread.I had the chicken, tomato, tatziki on sourdough bread. It was good but in our opinion, way overpriced. The sandwiches should of been around $10.00.Even though the lunch was good,we would not eat at muddy waters cafe due to the price.
Absolutely delicious! We found it by the delicious smell wafting out the door when we walked by.I got the salmon and crab claw burger with the black bean and tomato soup and I was floored. The bun was great and the seasonings were perfect for the delicate flavours. Definitely worth stopping by and having a bite to eat on the patio.
We went there for lunch on Tuesday.. My wife had the Duck sandwich and I had the Bison burger.. absolutely awesome!! The best lunch we have had for ages.. we recommend this restuarant.. the service was fantastic too
So it's not exactly a restaurant. More of a cafe and bakery that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything baked here was fantastic!! We loved the blueberry muffins that were more blueberry and less muffin. Even the bread that came with our eggs was amazing! Coffee and teas were all great! And the prices aren't as high as some reviews would have you believe - can definitely have breakfast here for about $15 per person.
They serve what is probably the best-looking and best-tasting breakfasts this side of the lake. (There was already a lineup even before they opened.) Their smoked salmon lox is highly recommended.
Expensive but worth it. Seasonal salad is soo good yumm!
This seems to be a good go to place at Harrison lake. The outdoor seating provides a nice view of the lagoon and lake, the food is great and the service friendly. The perfect place to pull the motorcycle over (yes, there is motorcycle parking) and grab a coffee to warm up while you enjoy the view. It is a nice atmosphere as it seems most people here are on vacation. Is your bike ready for this trip? Ugh, when will the sky turn blue and the weather warm up again? Appreciate it when it comes around again as you stare across the lake sipping your drink and reading the news as you wait for your smoked salmon and cream cheese with red onion and caper topped bagel. Life is good. 😎
Ordered the granola bowl with fresh fruit for breakfast and it was sooo good! Fruit was abundant, fresh and sweet, granola and yogurt were tasty and the toast with preserve was a great accompaniment. Friendly service - would highly recommend.
Came in from the cold for a latte on our first day then returned the next morning for breakfast. The egg sandwich with tomato, cheese on a very fresh soft bun was delicious. It came with a nice mix of sliced fruit and berries. Great choice for a quality bite in Harrison. A longer walk from the resort but worth it.
Great food, friendly staff and most importantly amazing food. Everything we ordered tasted great and fresh. No complaints, apart from the size of the place which could be considered on the "smaller" side. Honestly just nitpicking at this point. Great place.
The tagline is fresh, local food. It certainly lives up to that! Everything was perfectly ripe, wonderfully fresh, and made to order. All baking is tender and flaky. The burger was fat and juicy. BLT on whole grain (because they were out of pretzel buns) had wonderfully crispy bacon and ripe tomatoes. The pear sandwich impressed, though the carrot soup was a miss - too much ginger. My favorite item was the cranberry lemon scone which was unexpectedly scented with cardamom. We asked for water to drink, there is a self serve water dispenser beside the coffee bar. It's a great view across the lake when sitting outside on the patio. Prices are a little high for the sandwiches ($14) but reasonable for baked goods and coffee. I suppose you are paying for locally sourced food. Kids welcome - we had a 2 & 4 year old - with a kids menu of cereal & fruit, yogurt parfait, grilled cheese, or buttered noodles.
